Sabazio Vino Rosso Di Montepulciano DOC 2016 0.750 ml

The La Braccesca estate covers in its entirety some 1270 acres (508 hectares) and is composed of two separate blocks: one, the historic nucleus, is located in Montepulciano and consists of some 255 acres (103 hectares) of vineyards located in the finest subzones for the production of Vino Nobile di Montepulciano ; the other, with 530 acres (some 233 hectares) of vineyards, is situated at the foot of the hills of the neighboring township of Cortona. The first vintage of the La Braccesca Rosso di Montepulciano was the 1992. The wine takes its name from Sabatino Lulli, known as “Sabazio”, a monk of the abbey of Montepulciano who, in the early Middle Ages, gave indications on how to ferment the grapes of the area into wine.

Tasting notes

The 2015 Sabazio shows a nose of fresh floral and fruity sensations with its notes of red currants and violets. The palate is vibrant and savory with a sweet, fruity and persistent finish and aftertaste.
